What is Pointer Analysis System ?

Since universities are imperative places of higher education students grade point evaluation has become a necessity in order to predict their academic performance by grading them on the basis of internal and external marks. In order to make this task effortless we have devised this Semester Grade Point Average Prediction System. The unavailability of prediction systems especially for engineering students is the main objective behind the formulation of this system. The analysis of grades in this system are done according to the revised curriculum and credit based grading system for Bachelor of Engineering programme in the University of Mumbai from the academic year 2012-2013. Various methods for assessment of student’s grade include theory courses which are Internal Assessment Test(IAT) and End Semester Exam. The IAT is of 20 percent and End Semester Exam of 80 percent. Students of the university are expected to appear for all their assessment tests so that they can perform well in their end semester exam. Thus, if the students are provided with a detailed explanation and assessment of their performance in the internal tests, they will be motivated to score better in their final exam. By viewing a comparative analysis of the amount of marks that are required in the end semester exam they can boost their efforts right from the beginning, plan and make strategies to study conscientiously.
